What is diabetes?
If the level of sugar or glucose in your blood reaches its higher position, then it is main symptom or sign of Diabetes Mellitus. The numbers of diabetes patients are increasing day by day. According to the survey, In 2015 over 415 million people had diabetes worldwide. Generally, there are three types i.e. type 1, type 2 and Gestational diabetes.
In your body, Glucose is formed by food which you eat. The hormone such as insulin, helps the glucose get into your cells to give them energy. In the type 1 diabetes, the body is not able to produce insulin properly, this type is rear because approximately 10% of all diabetes cases are of type 1 diabetes. In the type 2 diabetes, the body is not able to produce insulin or not able to use insulin properly. This type of diabetes is more common as compared to the type 1 diabetes and Gestational diabetes. Almost 90% of all diabetes cases are of type 2. Gestational diabetes affects only females. It occurs in the pregnancy time.
The body has too much glucose in the blood, then it causes serious problems. High level of glucose can damage your eyes, kidney also nerves. Diabetes can also affect on heart, and it causes heart disease.
What are symptoms of Diabetes?
The frequent urination (polyuria) is the main and common symptom, increase in thirst (polydipsia) and hunger (polyphagia), weight loss or gain, cuts, and bruises that don’t heal quickly. High level of blood glucose causes glucose absorption in the lens of an eye.
Treatment on Diabetes
Treatment is available for all types of Diabetes. Close watch over your blood sugar level is most important part of the Diabetes treatment. For the type 1 diabetes patient’s regular injection of insulin is the best option because the body is not able to produce insulin. And also daily exercise and special diet are important for the maintaining health.
The type 2 diabetes is treatable by tablets, exercise, and particular diet, but whenever the level of Insulin gets down then patient requires the Insulin injection. For type 2 diabetes Exercise and diet is enough to keep under control. Balancing the carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in your daily food is important to keep your blood sugar on target.
